VIRTUAL_____STATION

“VIRTUAL STATION” PROJECT WORKS AS AUDIO-VIDEO MIXER FOR TRAKING EMOTIONS

Virtual Station is an audio-video project which reminds us of the existing emotional states of a human being. The key of the project is the computer-human interaction. The project involves visual, auditory and emotional receptors. Visual and sound content are brought together to create an emotional psycho-physical reaction in the viewer as he interacts with the video. Nine short video pictures (video self-portraits) are presented within the Planet Mar main video base.

They are the nine emotional states: SADNESS, FEAR, HAPPINESS, DEPRESSION, SURPRISE, EXPLOSION, ANGER, FANTASY, ENJOYMENT.

Number 9, as the last in series of numbers, announces the beginning and the end at the same time. It contains the idea of birth and germination. There are nine openings on human body, nine ways in which we communicate with the world. The symbolism of this number is common in many cultures and mythologies.

The project is elastic and can be presented in many ways, as Net Art project, as an interactive installation in gallery space, etc. It can be adjusted to one or more persons.

EXPERIENCE THE PROJECT BELOW BY PRESSING A PLAY BUTTON OF THE MAIN VIDEO PLANET MAR AND IN THE SAME TIME KEEP PLAYING BY CHOOSING 9 EMOTIONAL STATES.

What is PLANET MAR?

MAR seas/ in German mythology-the evil spirit that tortures men in sleep / In Hindu mythology the God of death, Buddha’s enemy

Planet Mar is the main subject of the Virtual Station. It is the place where it all happens. Planet Mar is designed as a place of emotional purification and existence, as a place for recycling of emotional garbage. In time, we collect garbage and are left with no space for normal functioning. We should all face that garbage in order to make the world a better place. Every life cycle brings its beginning and its End. Our civilization has the power of suffocating and exterminating itself. Planet Mar is The Second Planet of our existence. It is a visualised sanctuary to which we can teleport our emotions and try to help ourselves. After arriving and coming back from Planet Mar we will be worthy of the planet Earth.

Technical description of the model: The model consists of two parts, dimensions 100×50 cm. Both models are landscape different but structurally and thematic the same. The model’s landscape can be changed by rotating both sides of it.
